TRA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Wreckage and Wonder, LLC is dedicated to supporting transracial adoptees and former foster youth in their educational pursuits. This $500 scholarship is available to students working towards their degree (GED, associates, bachelors, masters, doctorate) at community, private, public or trade schools, colleges and universities. Applications are accepted on November 15th for Spring semester scholarships and on July 15th for Fall semester scholarships. One winner is selected by the Advisory Committee and notified within one month of applying. Funding can be used for:

  • School Supplies and Technology

  • Conference Registration and Travel

  • Medical Bills and Mental Health Services

  • Transportation home

ELIGIBILITY

At this time only U.S.-based transracial adoptees and former foster youth are accepted. We do not accept applications from transracial adoptees or former foster youth based in other countries. You must be over 18 to apply and must include documentation of your enrollment in a GED course or your acceptance to a higher-education degree-granting institution or trade school.

Within a year of scholarship acceptance, you must submit an informal summary of how you used your scholarship.
